Signal was founded by Matt Fenn to change the way organisations understand how their people actually work together.

After years working across leadership development, performance and team environments, Matt saw a consistent challenge: there can be a gap between what organisations believe is happening within their teams and what actually shows up in practice. Conversations, workshops and surveys can provide valuable insight, but they often rely on people describing how they think, communicate and behave.

Signal was built to reveal something different.

Through carefully designed experiences, people are placed in situations where they need to make decisions, navigate ambiguity, communicate and work together in real time. This creates an opportunity to observe the behaviours, values, communication styles and team dynamics that naturally emerge.

Those observations are then translated through Signal Coordinates — our way of capturing and plotting what the experience reveals. Rather than simply finishing with an interesting workshop, the experience becomes a source of meaningful insight into how people and teams operate.

That insight can then be used to identify development opportunities, strengthen leadership and communication, improve alignment, and inform where an organisation should focus its attention.

Signal sits at the intersection of experience, behaviour and organisational development. It combines immersive experience design with a structured way of turning what happens into something organisations can understand and act on.
